A little known, but very important fact regarding Bayfield County is that number of people over age 60 is projected to exceed 40% by 2020. To gain a bit of perspective, the current percentage of people over 65 years of age in Florida is just over 17%. This trend is something that will play a role in what and how services are offered, not only for older adults, but the community at large.
