SNOWMOBILE TRAIL REPAIR



Thank you to all of the bidders on the Pot Lake Project.  A list of the preliminary bidders is here.

Bayfield County and the US Forest Service are partnering on the repair of snowmobile trail 63 between Drummond and Grand View, near Pot Lake (also known as the Drummond Connector).  About ¼ to ½ mile of this trail was damaged during heavy flooding that occurred in July.  The project is still under development but will require significant roadway excavation, embankment construction, riprap and course surface aggregate, culvert installation, soil erosion and pollution control and seeding/mulching.  The goal will be to finish the repair work by Friday, December 2, 2016, so the trail will be ready for snowmobiling.
