Herbster’s Annual smelt fry fund raiser is held at the Herbster Historical Gym. The best smelt around, Captain Ken’s Fire House Beans, and homemade desserts will be served. Win one (or more) of our great door and raffle prizes. This event benefits the Herbster Community and its scholarships. Come and enjoy the fun and help to celebrate the beginning of spring.

Basic Budgeting is a free workshop designed to help people learn the skills and strategies they need to meet monthly household expenses and build savings. Participants will learn to develop a spending and saving plan, discuss goal setting and identify community resources.
Financial classes are offered monthly at alternating locations in Ashland and Bayfield Counties.

Four young entrepreneurs, Mari Kay-Nabozny, Josh Swan, Ben Illick and Judy Thompson will each describe how they pursued their individual dreams to launch a new or manage an existing business enterprise. They will talk about their journeys, the hard work, challenges and rewards of being a young entrepreneur in the Chequamegon Bay area.
