Bayfield County Campgrounds


Bayfield County owns and operates 3 campgrounds:

Big Rock Park (Washburn)

Located on the Sioux River, a Class A steelhead trout stream, the park offers a spot for picnicking, wildlife viewing, hiking, bank and stream fishing and primitive camping. Camping is on a first come, first served basis only.

Fees:

  • Non-electric - $12/day

Directions:

From intersection of State Hwy 13 and County Hwy C in Washburn, head 3 miles North on County C to Big Rock Road. The park is 1 1/2 miles down the road.

Delta Lake Park (Iron River)

An excellent fishing lake year-round, Delta Lake has northern pike, bass, perch, bluegill, crappie and bullhead. The park features tent & RV sites, showers, swimming area, boat launch and CAMBA trailhead access. Reservations accepted.

Directions: 

7 miles south of Iron River on County H to Scenic Drive Rd. Then 6 miles East on Scenic Drive. The park is on the left.

Twin Bear Park (Iron River)

Surrounded by oak, birch, maple and scattered pine, this is a fantastic spot to access the Pike Chain of Lakes in Iron River. The northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass and bluegill make Twin Bear Lake popular with anglers. Reservations accepted.
