This juried fine arts show is held in Memorial Park on the scenic shores of Lake Superior in downtown Bayfield. Visitors will find a unique selection of pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture, glass works, wood carvings, photography and more. Take special notice of the blue “Best in Show” ribbons, which are awarded to artists in five categories, while browsing.
In addition to the festival in Memorial Park, guests are invited to experience art in the making during the Festival of Arts Gallery Tour on Saturday and Sunday.
Local galleries and working studios will welcome visitors throughout the weekend with open houses, demonstrations, and special sales as part of this tour. Watch local artists perform wheel-thrown pottery techniques and witness silver smithing, painting and quilting demonstrations.

Bayfield’s Concerts by the Lake take place every Tuesday, from June 23 through September 8, 2020 in Memorial Park. Music begins at 7pm.
In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Madeline Island Ferry Line terminal building, at the base of Washington Ave.
The concerts are free and open to the public.
Guests may wish to bring blankets or lawn chairs to the park.

Formerly known Brownstone Summerfest, it is Washburn’s yearly summer celebration. Three days of celebrating friends and families getting together and hanging out. Don’t miss the North Coast Car Show with live music and car show. There are art/craft vendors and food booths along main street, an off-road bike race, a run, fireworks, and many more extra events and activities that will be added during this special Homecoming year!

This is a Stand Up Paddleboard Race & Expo, (with all human-powered watercraft welcome to race and take part.)SUP demos, presentations, and clinics happening throughout the day. The full name of the event; "Washburn Board Across the Bay - Home of Tom Blake" is a tribute to the famous surf innovator Tom Blake, who grew up in Washburn, Wisconsin. The event consists of a 14, 7 and 3 mile race, historic paddle to Tom Blakes’ favorite sport, demos and more!

Miles upon miles of forested gravel roads define the Gravel EPIC race course. Riders will do a timed loop route through some of the areas great gravel roads for 30+ miles. The Gravel EPIC is a great option for riders looking to do something different without having to spend hours navigating tricky singletrack. Bring your gravel bike, mountain bike, fatbike, or anything in between. The Gravel EPIC offers a wide range of riders a beautiful ride through the woods.

The Blueberry Fest kicks off with a Talent Show on Thursday night. The fun continues on Saturday with rides, games, food, contests, music, and, of course, blueberries. Saturday evening the Blueberry Queen is crowned. Sunday begins with a Polka Mass at Moon Lake followed by a huge parade through town. Cardboard boat races! Craft vendor market!

Four Day Outdoor Painting Event
Paint Thursday and Friday. Saturday morning is an optional Quick Paint Event in which the artist has 90 minutes to complete a painting in the harbor area. After the Quick Paint, artists have an hour and a half to finish framing their works and bring them to the Town Hall for hanging and judging. The exhibit is open Saturday from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm. Awards are announced around 3:15 pm. The exhibit is open again Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Artists can remove their paintings after 1:00pm.

An internet connection, webcam, microphone and active participation are required to certify course completion.

Online registration and payment is required by the Thursday before the class.
The fee of $15.00 is to partially cover our costs for the program.*
