  1. Bayfield in Bloom

    Admire over 50,000 blooming daffodils, a vibrant mosaic of roadside lupine & rolling orchards of apple blossoms bursting into rosy color during our month-long celebration of spring. Special events include a live WPR Broadcast of Garden Talk with Larry Meiller and a Garden Expo at the historic Lakeside Pavilion in downtown Bayfield, Garden Tours and the annual Blessing of the Fleet. Bayfield in Bloom runs from May 10 through June 9, 2019.

  4. 7th Annual Rumble on the Lake

    The annual Rumble on the Lake "The Biggest Little Ride in America" is back for it's 7th year! You are invited to join us for another fantastic northwoods adventure May 31 & June 1. Please plan to join us on Friday for an all day Poker Run around Lake Namakagon, as well as our kick-off party at Four Seasons Resort at 7pm with live music, drink specials and activities. The main event will take place on Saturday at Ammo's Evergreen on Lake Namakagon from 5-9pm with music and food catered by the Brick House Cafe and Catering. The routes we specifically design ROTL are approximately 150 miles. In the past, riders experienced the shores of Lake Superior, the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, and the heart of northern WI! Join us for raffles, food, and fun!!

  8. Kid's Fishing Day

    June 1, 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center

    If your kids want to learn to fish, come join us from 9 am to 1 pm. Arrive no later than 12 to allow enough time to complete the learning stations and fishing at the pond. Experienced anglers and biologists are on hand to share their fishing tips and techniques. Equipment is provided, but you can bring your own pole if you want. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and all persons should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. This event takes place rain or shine! Fun activities and prizes for everyone!

  9. Port Wing Saturday Market

    The Port Wing Saturday Market started 6 years ago with a handful of vendors. It has grown into a fun shopping place to hang out on Saturday mornings from May to October. The focus of the Port Wing Saturday Market is fresh, locally grown produce, plants and flowers. Our local farmers grow a wide variety of your favorite veggies and fruits. They also sell maple syrup, jams, jellies, farm fresh eggs & meats. Not only do we have fresh local produce, we offer local artists the opportunity to showcase their art: handmade books, stone and beaded jewelry, wood-carved and wood-turned spoons and other utensils, pottery, soaps and lotions, knitted hats & mittens, handwoven rag-rugs, bird paintings on wood and funny signs, just right for your cabin or guesthouse. When you are on the South Shore of Lake Superior, don't forget to stop by and visit!

    Don’t miss the Bayfield Garden Tour, Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 10am to 3pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the plants at some of Bayfield’s finest gardens. Whether an amateur gardener or professional horticulturist, you are sure to enjoy these self-guided walking tours. Homeowners and gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions. Come to gather design ideas or be inspired by the spectacular water features, flower garden arrangements and exquisite plant varieties on display. The Garden Tour will include the Northern Native Plant Sale put on by the Landmark Conservancy from 9am to 1pm. It will include native plant vendors selling dozens of varieties of plant along with experts on site to answer questions and activities for kids. Find it at the Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion.
