With concerns due to the COVID-19 Virus, plans will be modified or changed as necessary to help people stay healthy. We'll do what is necessary for people to safely participate so we can keep helping the people of Northern Wisconsin.
October 17, 2020, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Among the many free family friendly events that take place during Family Fall Fest are pumpkin decorating, birdhouse building, face painting, clowns, music, and much more.
For the adults, we have numerous street vendors with everything from Wapples, which are waffles filled with apple cheesecake and caramel sauce, to locally crafted wares from jewelry makers and many of the local artisans.
Featured are also several interactive events. Easily the most involving, and intriguing is the making of apple cider using a cider press and apples gathered from all over the island. You can also watch candles be made at Madeline Island Candles, make a tie dye shirt at Adventure Vacations, or learn how to polish rocks at Ricky Rocks & JEM. We hope to have these and more to add to the enjoyment of Family Fall Fest on Madeline Island, a small-town festival for the whole family to enjoy!
October 17, 2020, 12:00 PM - October 18, 2020, 6:00 PM @ Ken Johnson Farm
Welcome to the Oulu Corn Maze! We are located in northern Wisconsin, not far from the shores of Lake Superior. Just a short 40 minute ride from Duluth/Superior or 45 minutes from Ashland or Hayward. The field is tucked away in beautiful Bayfield county on Ken Johnson’s farm. When you get here, come right into the barn and get your ticket to the maze. Hop on the wagon for a hayride up to the corn field. Once at the maze you will begin your hunt for the hidden posts. After your adventure, stop back in the barn for some warm apple cider or a cup of hot cocoa. You can hangout, visit or meet some of our animals friends. The maze is perfect for a fun day with the family, an adventure with your friends or a romantic walk with your sweetheart.
We’ll see you at the maze!
Bring your camera and wear your boots.
